Scope of delivery

CAYMARO BLACK with abrasion-resistant outsole with metal tags (model, size, serial number), rubber bands, lace locks and cord lock.

Additional option: INSOLES, honeycomb-perforated and open with cushions from micro fleece or entirely covered with micro fleece or both of these variants. Recommended for senitive soles, particularly hard soils and at low temperatures. With these, even the smallest twigs or thin spines of example thistles or sea urchin are no longer able to reach the soles.

All models of series CLASSIC (CAYMAROs) have a quite long lacing system and need correspondingly long laces. At delivery the laces are sufficiently long for all foot circumferences. However, if the wearer has narrow feet, the band ends at the heel probably come out be too long. For such cases we also deliver a second set of lace locks with every CAYMARO which can be used after shortening the laces at the heel to the personal taste.

What size do I need?

Your usual shoe size is, for example, EU43? Then select - as usual for sports shoes - one size up = EU44.

How does the sole concept work?

Structure and performance of the sole concepThe softer the ground, the more the outsole "lowers" into the ground and CAYMARO, similar to our pure ring mesh shoes, becomes a minimalist shoe with full ground contact. The harder and more shallow a surface becomes the more the entire structure "raises" above the ground and the rib structure of the outsole take over the load. On rocks, reefs or sharp gravel the benefit of this comfortable cushioning can immediately be felt. The ribs now ensure that more body weight is distributed over a smaller area and the higher load causes a fantastic grip and stability.

The sole thickness under the ball of the foot and under the heel is between 5 and 7 mm. The resulting cushioning is even sufficient to make CLASSIC suitable for the usual hard surfaces in residential areas and inner cities. On flat surfaces it remains a consistent distance between the sole and the ground. Here the feet are very well vented which is beneficial for foot health. Feeling and enjoying the elements beneath your feet  is a very interesting experience! However, those who want to enjoy the benefits of URBANon yachts and boats should opt for CAYMARO WHITE, since this version is equipped with a white and softer outsole which does not make stripes.

Do I need insoles for CAYMARO?

The insoles are 2.5 mm thick, very soft and honeycombed structured / perforated. Especially on hard floors, reefs, edges and sharp stones the additional cushioning can be enjoyed. Already the integrated layer of chainmail protects effectively against all objects that exceed a diameter of 1.5 mm. The insoles reduce this diameter down to 0.5 mm. So even the smallest twigs, stones or thin spines of thistles can no longer reach the soles of your feet.

What materials is CAYMARO?

Basically CAYMARO has only two materials: stainless steel and TPU (Polyurethane) for the outsole and all cushioning elements. Both are extremely durable and are perfect for all kinds of outdoor conditions on land and in water.

How to get started?

Begin on soft soil that you would consider barefoot friendly. This might include a nearby park, grass, as well as meadows, moss and, generally, forest soil and of course everything to do with water has (boats, yachts, water skiing, jet skiing, etc.). At the beginning make use of our insoles or wear thin sport socks. Take your time to get to know their properties. Increase gradually!

How to clean CAYMARO?

At natural environments you only need clean water or water from the nearest stream, a lake, the sea, the fountain in your park or from a clean puddle. When wearing them all day long at urban environments, at home or in the city they should be washed every two to three days in the washing machine between 30°C and 40°C. A quick spinning cycle afterwards dries them quickly and completely.

From experience we don't expect that you want to return them to us. Once you have seen and tried them you'll love the concept. But of course it is no problem to send them back to us.
