Preface / Our sustainable vision & strategy
Over the years and triggered by the well-known online platforms such as AMAZON, a very liberal cancellation practice has established itself in online trade. From our point of view, it makes it too easy for customers to return thoughtlessly or spontaneously made purchases in unlimited numbers back to the merchant and free of charge. In the meantime, the return rate of a parcel in online trade business has increased to an average of alomost 40% - millions, which in Germany alone, ultimately have to be paid by all online customers.
We put great importance on quality, sustainability and the conscious handling of natural resources. This also includes the avoidance of returns and associated costs for additional warehousing, shipping and logistics. In addition to the quality of our products, our extensive efforts regarding customer service in the run-up to an order has resulted in a return rate (cancellation of orders) being below 1%. Accordingly, our customer base has very similar beliefs - which we are very proud of!

Nevertheless, despite all efforts, there are a few orders that clearly show that it can not be a well-considered purchase at best. A collective order of multiple main items from a new customer, who does not know the Paleos®, but orders different variants and/or quantity and even without size verification, is such an example. Upon receipt of a corresponding order we will contact the customer, but we reserve the right not to accept the order, to cancel it and to refund the amount already paid.
As a new customer, please get to know one product first before you decide to order more items. On request we gladly exchange a main item for a different size or model. In case you do not like what you received from us, you of course can return it and you will be refunded (less eventual shipping costs).
5. Cancellation Policy / Revocation
5.1 Purchase: Even without stating reasons, the customer can cancel his order within fourteen (14) days, in text form (for example letter, fax, e-mail) or by returning the goods. The period begins after receipt of this instruction in text form, but not before receipt of the goods at the customer. To maintain the cancellation period, the timely dispatch of the revocation or the goods is enough.
5.2 Financing / Instalment: For certain countries PayPal PLUS offers at checkout to pay by purchase on account and instalment. As all payment methods of PayPal PLUS, also these are exclusively handled by and at PayPal. For GoSt-Barefoots all purchases via PayPal PLUS are regular purchases and the Cancellation Policy described under 5.1 applies analogously.
5.3 The right to cancel does not apply to products that have already been exchanged, second hand items, offer goods or custom-made items – items which are tailored to your own specifications (differing from the respective standard item).

5.4 In the case of an effective cancellation, the received goods are to be returned within fourteen (14) days. The period begins with sending the revocation. The deadline is met if the customer sends the goods before the expiration of the period of fourteen days.
Providing the items are returned complete (including all accessories, if applicable) and in mint condition, you will receive a refund within fourteen (14) days. Items returned incomplete, damaged or in used condition will lead to an accordingly revised refund, to compensate for the depreciated value. In particularly extreme cases, we reserve the right to refuse the exchange or return. However, this does not affect your right to examine and test the delivered items upon receipt, i.e. as you would in a store.
“Legal position according to the ECJ (EuGH): For everyday objects such as shoes or garments, the respective suitability can already be determined by a one-time try-on in the domestic area. Accordingly, it is not "necessary" within the meaning of §357 (7) no. 2 BGB to test the acquired object in all circumstances in which its use is intended. The permissible suitability test is limited here to the assessment of the visual impression and the determination of the individual fit. A "wear" of shoes in everyday life or a "road suitability test" for shoes always exceeds the limit of testing.”
We only accept returns in our original packaging! The customer bears the immediate costs of returning the goods.
5.5 Obligations to reimburse payments (minus the original shipping costs) must be fulfilled within (14) days. The period begins with the sending of your declaration of revocation or of the items, for us with the receipt of the goods.

Returns (DE / EU countries)
Note: If you wish to exchange a product you must notify us in writing within fourteen (14) days of receipt. After this period an exchange of the product is no longer possible. Please make sure your return is complete and includes all accessories such as insoles, saver, srerial key chain, etc. We only accept returns in our original packaging! Post your parcel to below address and let us know - as soon as available - the shipping service provider (USPS, FedEx, etc.) as well as the tracking ID and URL to trace your shipment.
Returns (non-EU countries)
Note: We only accept returns in our original packaging! Returns from non-EU countries require a shipping method that includes full custom clearance for the process of reimport to the EU / Germany. Delivery from door to door. For express shipments choose DDP - "Delivered Duty Paid" / for normal shipping choose DAP - "Delivered at Place". Caution: Express shipments may incur additional charges for re-import. If these costs are not covered, the shipment will not be processed by customs and automatically returned to the sender. To avoid this sort of unfortunate outcome and unnecessary costs, please opt for Standard Shipping.
Furthermore, all necessary documents must be attached to the outside of your parcel. For this purpose your respective shipping service provider provides self-adhesive transparent plastic bags. For the smooth handling, German customs expects to find the following documents in it:
- A proof that the goods were originally sent to you from Germany by GoSt-Barefoots. The shipping label with the barcode of our original shipment to your address serves this purpose. If it was lost or turned unreadable, please request a corresponding pdf at us.
- The description, value and content of the return (our original invoice from our shipment to your address).
- A clear indication that it's a return of a product to to GoSt-Barefoots.
